The quality of our treatments and the results we deliver are due in large part to our attention to detail. Please take the time to complete our three step appointment checklist and submit your completed form. We will contact you within 24 to 48 hours. STEP 1 Contraindications: To ensure the safety and best possible results for our clients please review the contraindications questions for all treatments you are interested in receiving. 


A minimum of at least two weeks of hair growth, untrimmed is required for all waxing.

We are unable to wax over skin that has had recent sun exposure or if the full body is sunburned.

For Brazilians, be prepared to schedule your appointment mid-cycle to your menstrual period, and please state the first day of your last period in your request. 

Are you currently being treated by another esthetician, doctor, treatment provider?

Are you currently taking any prescription medications?

Are you taking or have you ever taken Accutane or other skin thinning medications?

Do you topically use Retin-A, Differin or Tozorac on any of the areas you intend to have waxed?

Do you use Glycolic, Alpha hydroxy, Salicylic, Kojic, or any other acids in any areas you intend to have waxed? (If so, you must discontinue use AT LEAST 3 days, possibly two weeks prior to your appointment. We will guide you when you make your appointment.)


Facials, Lomilomi and body treatments:

Are you currently being treated by another esthetician, doctor, treatment provider?

Are you currently taking any prescription medications?

Are you currently experiencing coughs, runny nose, fever or a soar throat?

Do you currently have any undiagnosed rashes, sunburn, or broken skin on the area to receive treatment?

Have you had any surgery or stitches on the area to receive treatment in the last 6 months?

Are you currently pregnant, have high blood pressure, allergies, etc.?


If you answered yes to any on the questions in STEP 1, please explain in your request. 

STEP 2 Policies: Our goal is to create an intimate and soothing environment for everyone who enters Honu You so they may relax and rejuvenate, with that in mind we ask that:

All cell phones and pagers are on silent upon entry.

Children aged 10 and under are not allowed inside the spa.

Anyone under the age of 18 receiving services must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

For new clients please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to fill out necessary paperwork; existing clients please arrive 5 minutes prior to your appointment. Arriving late may result in a full charge and rescheduling of your appointment.

Please inform Honu You of any health concerns or special requests prior to treatment.

Refrain from drug or alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to treatment.

Listed prices include tax and we don't accept tips, what you see is what you pay.

Honu You Hawaiian Spa reserves the right to refuse service to anyone.

Cancellation Policy: As a courtesy to you and to better utilize our finite number of appointments, we will attempt to call and confirm appointments 2 days prior to your scheduled appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment please do so 24 hours in advance to avoid a 50% charge of your scheduled treatments. There will be a 100% charge for no show appointments.


STEP 3: We recommend making an appointment at least several days in advance.
